Have you ever thought of not using your fingers to write articles?
With speech to text technology (STT) is possible to dictate your article and an algorithm will translate your words in text.
You need only a microphone and a PC.
There are different solutions:
- Dragon Naturally Speaking is the only software available for PC that support text to speech recognition. The advantage is that is really fast because it is installed on your PC. Furthermore it use a machine learning algorithm so it learn your way to speak. It creates a profile for every user and more you will use the software more it will not wrong.
- Dictation.io is a site where you can translate your speech in text. Pro: it is not necessary to install any software on your PC, totally free and it has multiple languages support.
Cons: it doesn’t create a profile on your PC so if you don’t pronounce a word correctly it will continue to wrong. - Google speech to text recognition is available in Google Docs. See video below to configure it. Pro: it is totally free and multilanguage. Cons: no profile, therefore it cannot learn.
